John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with tax-exempt status. Pray – Volunteer – Donate
WE all struggle over matters of time. We all have the same minutes in an hour and hours in a day and days in a week Yet,
Many of us want to control the speed of time. When you’re waiting to get your first driver’s license, time isn’t fast enough. WE want time to hurry so we can grow up and then wish time would slow down while we are holding our grandchildren and getting older. Sometimes we feel we are in a race with time as the clock ticks to meet deadlines. Most of us feel like we need more time. They say time is money and we just can’t buy enough time. Meanwhile, God seems unphased by the passing of time. What gives?
I always wonder why God takes so long in answering prayers?!
And then I realized something…from God’s perspective, He is in this relationship with you for the long haul, eternity in fact. He sees that your days on this earth are a mere breath compared to the place where he’s built mansions for his servants to live. I’ve heard from people who temporarily died and saw this heavenly place report the grass never dies and the flowers sing as you walk by, but it was not their time to live there yet. For God, time is more like a togetherness that has no ending. A relationship that grows but also, will never die. If God makes a promise, He keeps it. Time is nothing compared to him keeping his word.
Did you pray for a mansion? You have one!
Have you prayed you would never age? You won’t!
Have you prayed for healing? You have it!
Whatever prayers you find your spirit crying out for have already been answered. It is just not time YET!
Here’s the simple answer, We can!! But what benefit is that to you if eternity and judgment await you apart from God? People feel really good about themselves when they seem to bridge a gap, or unite divided minds and they are even quicker to label it “love”. But I’m here to tell you, that was never God’s message nor is it his love for you.
The Christian message is not about getting along, rather it is about light vs. darkness, the children of God vs. the children of Satan, eternity spent with the creator or with the adversary, it is a message about choosing the Kingdom of Heaven or the pit of hell. It is the creators desire for you to choose his son over sin.
Jesus talked a lot about the eternal life and used parables to explain judgment that awaits every human ever created. His message was calling humanity to repentance. He warned of Hell and used extreme examples to emphasize the seriousness of his warning;
“if your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell and if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell”….”I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.”
Jesus went on to described this earth, your fleshly desires and the natural thoughts that come to you mind as hostile to him, awaiting judgment through fire and already condemned. He was killed for this statement,
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
Therefore, the Kingdom of heaven is not about liking each other, or making peace, or getting along, or acceptance. Those are the worlds terms for temporary peace and will never last. Eternity is forever. If you want to be saved, read this story from Jesus, believe his words and ask him to be born again in him! Listen to the Video Testimony below!
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.
“How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit….
For God so lovedthe world that he gavehis one and only Son,that whoever believesin him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the worldto condemn the world, but to save the world through him.Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.This is the verdict: Lighthas come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
The apostasy of the Christian church reaches far and wide.
We are a generation of so called Christians that has decided to make up our own rules. We take what we want to hear and keep that, but if something does not affirm our beliefs or does not makes us feel good then we trash the rest. This is not the voice of God. It’s the voice of self love and we are being deceived.
The Old Testament is not about some mean God and then Jesus comes as the nice prophet and teacher to make you feel better. This is about a Father and his Son, a holy Kingdom with justice and righteousness as the foundation of his throne. Their power and rule forever eternal. The story of Jesus in the Bible is about a God who meets his own demands. He is so righteous that he satisfied the governing rule he placed in the universe himself. Sin equals death. God is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Sin is still sin and God will judge it accordingly.
Eternal life apart from God is called death and condemnation in hell. A place designed to take captive all sin and evil. People shrink away from a Holy God until they’ve been violated or taken over and enslaved by an act, deed, thought or by something or someone so dirty that shame smothers the life out of a soul, then… suddenly! Holiness is the sweetest embrace as it washes over them making one clean and white as snow. God you are Holy and we are so happy to be in your presence.
The God in the Old Testament and the God in the New Testament are the same. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God, and when we come to Christ, we are to be born a new of the Holy Spirit! We cannot strive in sin, we are not free when we live in or walk in it. God has not changed his mind and suddenly the sins outlined in the Bible are now embraced and free from judgment. Don’t be deceived. Get your life right before God! You are washed in the blood of Christ and he paid a high price for you to stand in righteous covering to be judged.
Ellen DeGeneres was praised for her recent twitter post. With 10,000 retweets and 35,000 likes,…For those asking, Kim Burrell will not be appearing on my show”.
Who is Kim Burrell? She’s a Senior Eldress/Overseer-Bishop at The Love & Liberty Fellowship Pentecostal Overcoming Holy Church which she founded in 2010. She’s also an American Gospel singer whose voice is part of the soundtrack on the Hidden Figures movie. She was scheduled to promote the film and sing with Pharrell Williams on Ellen’s show. Not anymore.
Kim Burrell sermons preaching were recently publicized on YouTube.
Her comments called homosexuality a perversion.
This is the kind of situation that causes me to shake my head.
I mean, I like Ellen, who doesn’t like Ellen? but she is a prominent figure in the public’s eyes that lives a lifestyle contrary to mainstream Christian beliefs. Was Kim Burrell willing to set aside her convictions for the time of Ellen’s show, knowing her as a professed Lesbian in order to promote her music and increase her fame? As a Bishop of the Church and a Christian, she must have considered her Host’s position on homosexuality was in stark contrast to her own. Kim did not let this effect her business decisions, but Ellen did.
Does this mean Ellen is persecuting Christians? She tied her personal convictions about her lesbian lifestyle to her business decision. She wasn’t worried about any backlash to her fame either. In my opinion, at least Ellen is willing to do what the Christian was not…publicly make a stand for what she believes in and bring that with her to work. Christians should take note.
Political correctness for Christians in America has been less about politics and more about self promotion for personal gain while avoiding persecution for their beliefs. Kim Burrell is paying the price now as Texas Southern University also announced that her radio show “Bridging the Gap” would no longer be airing as part of KTSU radio programming. Burrell’s Tweets are silent about the matter, but it is reported that during a LIVE FaceBook she stated those who are airing parts of her sermons were her enemies. She attempted to ease over her fans and persecutors by stating that she loves everyone and has never discriminated against the LGBT community.
HERE’S THE IRONY
While Kim Burrell is enduring a barrage of backlash, her co-singer, Williams Pharrall comments were almost identical to Kim Burrell’s on the Ellen show stating that,
“There is no room in for any kind of prejudice in 2017 or forward…I love her, just like I love everybody else…we all got to get used to everybody’s differences, this is a big beautiful colorful world…”
with Ellen nodding her head in agreement, it seems what they mean is everybody EXCEPT Christians. Millions applaud. In their prejudice against Kim Burrell’s personal beliefs she was the only one ousted from the show designated to promote the movie and their music. In STARK Contrast to Kim Burrell’s preaching calling homosexuality perverted and sinful, Janelle Monae who is cast in the Hidden Figures film reverts to wanting to commit physical violence towards people she considered ignorant and bigoted, “…At times I want to punch and I want to slap a lot of people” for what they write and say. She follows up to describe those people as mainly Bible believing Christians. She offers advice that if one’s religion incites hate or looking down on another, they should change it. Wouldn’t it be nice if she took her own advice?!
Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Mark 8:34-35 Jesus said
…“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.For whoever wants to save their lifewill lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?”
