WE all struggle over matters of time. We all have the same minutes in an hour and hours in a day and days in a week Yet,
Many of us want to control the speed of time. When you’re waiting to get your first driver’s license, time isn’t fast enough. WE want time to hurry so we can grow up and then wish time would slow down while we are holding our grandchildren and getting older. Sometimes we feel we are in a race with time as the clock ticks to meet deadlines. Most of us feel like we need more time. They say time is money and we just can’t buy enough time. Meanwhile, God seems unphased by the passing of time. What gives?
I always wonder why God takes so long in answering prayers?!
And then I realized something…from God’s perspective, He is in this relationship with you for the long haul, eternity in fact. He sees that your days on this earth are a mere breath compared to the place where he’s built mansions for his servants to live. I’ve heard from people who temporarily died and saw this heavenly place report the grass never dies and the flowers sing as you walk by, but it was not their time to live there yet. For God, time is more like a togetherness that has no ending. A relationship that grows but also, will never die. If God makes a promise, He keeps it. Time is nothing compared to him keeping his word.
Did you pray for a mansion? You have one!
Have you prayed you would never age? You won’t!
Have you prayed for healing? You have it!
Whatever prayers you find your spirit crying out for have already been answered. It is just not time YET!
